At the meeting, Mr. Mori Takero - the Consul General of Japan in Danang city extended his sincere thank to the leaders of Thua Thien Hue province and departments for the warm welcome. The Consul General of Japan in Danang city highly appreciated local socio-economic results and congratulated the province on becoming a centrally-governed city from the beginning of 2025.

The Consul General of Japan in Danang city hoped that Japan-Vietnam relation in general and Japan-Thua Thien Hue relation in particular will be further accelerated in the coming time. Mr. Mori Takero suggested cooperating in high-quality human resource training to raise the number of Thua Thien Hue students studying at Japanese typical universities. These graduates may devote to Vietnamese businesses or Japanese businesses located in Thua Thien Hue province.

The Consul General of Japan in Danang city, Mr. Mori Takero emphasized that he would make effort to introduce Thua Thien Hue to Japanese partners, businesses and investors. This way, the friendly relation between Japanese localities and Thua Thien Hue province will also be promoted.

On behalf of the leaders of Thua Thien Hue province, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province Phan Quy Phuong warmly welcomed the Consul General of Japan in Danang city Mr. Mori Takero to Thua Thien Hue province.  In the past time, Thua Thien Hue province has established fruitful relations with Japanese localities in tourism, cultural exchange, people-to-people to exchange, etc. Within the framework of Vietnam - Japan comprehensive relation, Thua Thien Hue province received ODA projects.

Vice Chairman Phan Quy Phuong hoped that the Consul General would study and offer loan to Japanese localites to invest in local infrastructure. Besides, the provincial leader expected the Consul General would help Thua Thien Hue vocational training institutions and businesses to send students to Japan for internship in the fields of information technology, textile, high-tech agriculture, midwife and nursing; call for Japanese investors to invest in strong fields; accelerate cooperation in post-graduate training programs, scientific research, technology transfer and international publication; sign cooperative agreement with Japanese universities, institutes and companies; develop training programs, lecturer and student exchange; promote internship, vocational training in Japanese companies and organizations. Regards to increasing the number of students studying at Japanese typical universities, Vice Chairman Phan Quy Phuong highly appreciated the suggestion made by the Consul General.

Vice Chairman Phan Quy Phuong emphasized that Thua Thien have potential to develop and cooperate with countries in the region, particularly Japanese localities thanks to its lasting tradition, history and culture. The provincial leader hoped that the Consul General would introduce Thua Thien Hue to Japanese localities so that they would consider investing in the province.
