Majority of village halls in Thua Thien Hue province were established when villages and communes were founded. Trung Kien village hall, where village founders, gods and godess are worshiped, is not an exception. It was the place where villagers gathered together to discuss, organize festivities on Tet holiday and other special occasions.

Trung Kien village hall have typical values in history, culture and architecture. In addition to traditional architecture which was a tangible culture, Trung Kien village is also home to intangible cultural values. Despite the impact of urbanization, basic features of agricultural citizens still can be found in yearly offering ceremonies held at the village hall to pay tribute to ancestors. Trung Kien village hall was renovated several times, however its ancient and traditional feature are still here to stay. This shows the culture rich history of the village hall in the development of Thuan Hoa - Phu Xuan, Hue.

Over the resistance against French and American invaders, the contributions of Trung Kien villagers to the revolution of Phu Loc district in general and Thua Thien Hue province in particular were witnessed at the village hall.

It can be seen that it is necessary to conserve Trung Kien village hall to preserve local historical and cultural values on the basis of Resolution No. 54-NQ/TW dated 10/12/2019 of the Politburo on Thua Thien Hue development to 2030, vision to 2045.

Trung Kien village hall was recognized as a province-level historical relic by the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province on Decision No. 708/QD-UBND dated March 21, 2024.
