Held in Vietnam for the first time, the event attracts 150 athletes from 52 countries around the world. There will be over 100 matches, attracting hundreds turns of spectators. The event will be live on 5 world sport channels including Eurosport, Mono TV, Sport TV, TV Start and XSport.
Introduced in Hungary in 2014, Teqball is a combination of football and table tennis. The International Teqball Federation currently has 150 national federations, over 4.000 clubs around the world and 800 trained referees. So far, five world cup seasons have been held. This sport was recognized by Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), Olympic Council of Oceania (ONOC) and Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA). It is expected to become one of the categories within Olympic 2028. The Federation of International Teqball has accompanied Olympic Vietnam in developing this sport in localities and units across Vietnam.
