Thuy Lap communal house was constructed in mid 19th century. Despite its limited area, the structure has been together with the development of the village. It is the place to worship and commemorate the village founders. Cultural activities and festivities are also held in the communal house to tighten social relations as well as to protect and develop the village.
Thuy Lap communal house witnessed important historical events during the resistances against French and American empire. It is associated with key leaders of the Party such as Nguyen Chi Thanh, Hoang Anh, etc. In this communal house, many revolutionary officers such as regiment 18, regiment 95 and regiment 101 of Thua Thien Hue’s armed forces were trained and matured. Historical events taking place in Thuy Lap communal house glorifies not only the revolutionary tradition of the Party Committee and people of Quang Loi commune, Quang Dien district, but also the liberation revolution. Quang Loi commune was recognized as a heroic commune twice, proving its significant contribution.
In addition to other historical revolutionary relics in Quang Dien district, Thuy Lap communal house is a reliable place to educate today and future generations of patriotism.
Thuy Lap communal house was recognized as a province-level historical revolutionary relic on Decision No. 2376/QD-UBND dated October 13, 2006.
