* Location: Sinh village also known as Lai An village is located in Phu Mau commune, Phu Vang district, Thua Thien Hue province.

* Formation: Sinh locals mainly earn their livelihood from agriculture. Thanks to its convenient geographical location, many locals also work as craftsmen. One of the popular crafts was making worship painting using woodblocks. In the past, most of the worship paintings on sale at paper votive offering shops were made from Sinh village.  Today, the majority of locals move to the city. Therefore, only a few of people still keep the traditional craft. Nowadays, Sinh painting craft is fading into oblivion as many people who make paper votive offering now copy the woodblocks or even use printer instead.

* Characteristics: Newspaper-like paper and colors found in market such as yellow, green, purple, lotus red and the orginal white of paper are used. Craftsmen have woodblocks carved by themselves or service-providers.

Sinh paintings come in sets and are used for worship purpose. There are up to fifty sets of painting of different topics. All of the paintings are about ancient beliefs, ideology facing natural wildness and mystery and imagining gods. Through these paintings, people pray for peace, prosperity and health

Some worship paintings are highly appreciated in terms of art values such as Bat Am set. Bat Am features 8 ladies performing different musical instruments. However, only 2 sets including 4 items were used to save woodblocks. Each painting is a set of Hue girl. In each painting, there is a lady wearing "ma tien" shirt stands by different kind of musical instrument. “Ma tien” which is Hue typical costume worn by kids holding lanterns in big wedding ceremony.
