    (TTH Portals) - On August 28, 2024, a forum themed “Hanh trinh phat trien Tu sach Hue va cong tac xa hoi hoa, xuat ban cac an pham Tu sach Hue giai doan 2024-2030” (the growth of Hue bookcase, socialization and publishing in 2024-2030 period) was held by Thua Thien Hue Department of Culture and Sport, Department of Information and Communication.

    On August 25, 2024, a cycling activity was piloted around Hue Imperial city by the People’s Committee of Hue city. Hundreds of officers and locals attended the event. It is one of the activities contributing to turn Hue city into the first cycling city in Vietnam. Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Hue city Truong Dinh Hanh attended and rode bicycle.

The standing member of the provincial Party Committee, Vice Permanent Chairman of the People’s Committee of Thua Thien Hue province Nguyen Thanh Binh; the standing member of the provincial Party Committee, Head of the Propaganda and Education Department Hoang Khanh Hung; Ms. Le Thi Hoang Yen - Vice Chairwoman of Sports Authority of Vietnam; Mr. Yue Kwok Yin Edmond, Vice Chairman of the Internation Shuttlecock Federation; Mr. Zhou Weizhong, the Secretary General of the World Shuttlecock Federation; Mr. Lam Kam Hung, the Secretary General of the Asia Shuttlecock Federation attended the opening ceremony.

    On August 21, 2024, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province passed Decision No. 2256/QD-UBND on approving the non-refundable aid project which is excluded from the official grant of Operation Smile (USA). Accordingly, the organization would perform smile operation for children with cleft lips and cleft palate and humanitarian dental care program for students across Thua Thien Hue province in 2024.

    (TTH Portals) - On August 21, 2024, the standing member of the Party Committee, Vice Permanent Chairman of the People’s Committee of Thua Thien Hue province Nguyen Thanh Binh had a meeting with the delegation from National Action Center for Toxic Chemicals and Environmental Treatment (NACCET) and U.S Agency for International Development (USAID) Vietnam. NACCET’s Director General and USAID Vietnam Mission Director Aler Grubbs attended the meeting. Leader representatives of relevant departments and agencies attended the meeting.

    On August 17, 2024, Hue International Dance Festival 2024 was kicked off at the Center for Culture and Movie (41A Hung Vuong street, Hue city) by Department of Performing Arts (Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism) and Thua Thien Hue Department of Culture and Sports. The Deputy Minister of Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism; Head of the Steering Committee Ta Quang Dong, the standing member of the provincial Party Committee, Vice Permanent Chairman of the People’s Committee of Thua Thien Hue province Nguyen Thanh Binh; leaders of departments, agencies and nearly 500 artists attended the ceremony.

    (TTH Portals) - On August 9, 2024, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Decision No. 2320/QĐ-BVHTTDL on announcing the list of national intangible cultural heritage. Accordingly, Hue knowledge of tailoring and wearing Aodai was listed as a national intangible cultural heritage.
