Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan (the mother of President Ho Chi Minh) was buried on the west side of Ban Mount (Tam Tang Mountain) from 1901 to 1922. In 1922, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thanh (the elder sister of Uncle Ho) had the tomb moved to Nghe An province.
On the occasion of the 100th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh, the memorial house of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan was built by Ho Chi Minh Museum of Thua Thien Hue province and Thua Thien Hue Import Export Union Company.
The house follows traditional architecture with 4 pillars and 4 yin-yang cement roofs. A stone stele is placed in the middle of the house. The memorial house was surrounded by a yard, pines and plumeria flowers.
The memorial relic of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan was recognized as province-level relic on Decision No. 2461/QD-UBND dated October 28, 2008.
