On June 29, 2024, “Aodai with cycling for the environment” program was organized by Thua Thien Hue Department of Tourism in response to Hue Community Aodai week (from June 24 to June 30, 2024), a festivity held within the framework of Hue Festival 2024.
This activity aims to encourage locals and visitors to respond to public sport, heath training movement for a green - clean - bright Thua Thien Hue; widely spread “Hue - a clean tourism city in the ASEAN. Besides, it is a chance for units and businesses running in tourism and services sector to meet, exchange and accelerate tourism development.

“Aodai with cycling for the environment” program attracted nearly 200 members who are staffs and employees from Tourism Department, Culture and Sport Department, Development Study Institute, Tourism Association (hospitality, hotel, tour guide), Business Association, Hue Businesswomen Association, Tourism School - Hue University, College of Tourism, units/businesses operating in tourism - services in Thua Thien Hue province.
Participants cycle across Bia Quoc Hoc – Le Loi street – Bui Thi Xuan street – Da Vien Bridge – Le Duan street – Quang Duc Gate – Ong Ich Khiem street – Le Huan street – Dang Thai Than street – Doan Thi Diem street - Mai Thuc Loan street – Dinh Tien Hoang street – Tran Hung Dao street – Truong Tien Bridge – Le Loi street – Bia Quoc Hoc (about 8km).
This activity attracts a large number of locals and visitors; widely spreads the images of “Hue - kinh do ao dai” (Hue - the capital of Aodai), “Hue - thanh pho du lich sach ASEAN (Hue - ASEAN clean tourism city), “huong toi xay dung Hue - thanh pho xe dap” (developing Hue - a cycling city); raises public awareness of environmental protection.
