Located at Ngu My Thanh hamlet, Quang Loi commune, Quang Dien district, Thua Thien Hue province, Ngu My Thanh community tourism site is recently recognized as a community eco-tourism site by the People’s Committee of Thua Thien Hue province on decision 1007/QD-UBND dated May 6, 2023.
Ngu My Thanh is over 15km away from Hue city center. During the way to this village, visitors have a chance to admire peaceful scenery of Quang Dien district. This village is home to over 200 households whose main livelihood is fishing. In recent years, the fishing village has transformed and become more popular to visitors. Coming to this place, visitors have an opportunity to relax, enjoy the peace, experience local life, harvest crop and taste rustic dishes.
A typical tourism product available at Ngu My Thanh village was Ngu My Thanh seafood market which is open from 4:00 AM to 7:00 AM. This traditional market attracted a large number of visitors thanks to its distinctive location and various kinds of seafood available. Visitors may also enjoy the sunrise, fresh air and local food.
Another well-known destination was “lang bich hoa Ngu My Thanh” with picturesque paintings describing the beauty of Tam Giang lagoon and local life.
