(TTH Portals) - At the meeting between Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the chairperson of the Republic of Korea (RoK)’s global innovation research association and former Speaker of the country’s National Assembly Kim Jin Pyo held in Seoul city, RoK on July 2, 2024, Mr. Kim Jin Pyo, the former Speaker of the country’s National Assembly kindly informed that RoK would continue to help Vietnam expand Hue Central Hospital.
On July 2, 2024 evening, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received the chairperson of the Republic of Korea (RoK)’s global innovation research association and the former Speaker of the country’s National Assembly Kim Jin Pyo.
As the former Speaker of RoK’s National Assembly, Mr. Kim Jin Pyo attended the inauguration ceremony of Vietnam - Korea Institute of Science and Technology’s headquarters in January 2023
At the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his respect and sincere thanks to Mr. Kim Jin Pyo for his vital contribution to bilateral relation, particular the tie among legislative bodies; the support given to Vietnam in health care sector, particularly Hue Central Hospital 2.
Seeing Mr. Kim Jin Pyo again, the Prime Minister expressed his sincere thanks to RoK for the warm welcome and emphasized the affection and close-knit relation between the two countries.
Mr. Kim Jin Pyo extended sincere thank to the Prime Minister for welcoming him on his business trip in Vietnam in January 2023. He also welcomed Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on his official visit to RoK in 2022. It is the first visit paid by high-level leaders after the two countries had established the comprehensive partnership. Mr. Kim Jin Pyo believed that the bilateral relation will be further developed in the time to come.
The former President of Korean National Assembly highly appreciated the guideline and governance of Vietnamese government; the significant growth of Vietnamese economy in the past time. Accordingly, Vietnamese GDP reached 6% in 2024, the highest rate in the region.
Mr. Kim Jin Pyo informed and proposed some projects, cooperation plans that RoK’s global innovation research association, RoK’s agencies and him would carry out in the time to come, such as expanding Hue Central Hospital (Hue Central Hospital 2); building health training center in Central Vietnam; Korean teaching and vocational training for Vietnamese youth, particularly nurses who can work both in Vietnam and RoK; exchanging lessons learned and applying artificial intellect in education; supporting the connection with global innovation, etc.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh warmly welcomed suggestions made by Mr. Kim Jin Pyo and would assign relevant agencies such as Planning and Investment Ministry, Education and Training Ministry, Vietnam Center for Innovation. Detail cooperation projects and programs would be discussed by the People’s Committee of Thua Thien Hue province.
Prime Minister hoped that the Republic of Korea (RoK)’s global innovation and Vietnam National Innovation Center would further cooperate, exchange lessons learned and effectively join in innovative ecosystem.
Prime Minister wished Mr. Kim Jin Pyo would always support Vietnam and looked forward to seeing him in Vietnam to review and carry out contents exchanged, contribute to accelerating the bilateral friendly relation.
