II. Position and Functions
- Department of Natural Resources and Environment is a specialized agency under supervision of the Provincial People’s Committee (PPC); functioning as state management agency on natural resources and environment, including land, water resources, mineral resources, geology, environment, hydro-meteorology, surveying and mapping, integrated management in terms of beaches, lagoons, and islands; and public services under Department’s management.
- Department of Natural Resources and Environment has legal status, its own seal and account and is under guidance and management on organization and personnel of the PPC as well as specialized guidance of Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
