The festival is aimed to accelerate the cooperative relation between Vietnam and country-wide territories and countries in culture and arts. Attracting typical domestic and foreign units, the festival is an opportunity for Vietnam to introduce its unique art. It is also a chance to advertise local socio-economic potentials, strengths, places of interest, cultural and historical relics to far and near friends.
Held from August 17 to August 22, Hue International Dance Festival 2024 attracted nearly 500 artists of 17 units from 9 countries such as the Philipines, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos, United Arab Emirates and Vietnam. Works classified as short dances, dance poems, dance suites, short dance plays and dance plays are performed in folk, classic and modern style.
The opening performance
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Permanent Chairman Nguyen Thanh Binh extended sincere thank to Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism for holding Hue International Dance Festival 2024, the international event held once every three years. It is Thua Thien Hue province’s pleasure to welcome over 500 artists from 17 units of 9 countries. It is expected to bring artists, visitors interesting experience, chances to learn more about cultural values, unique heritages and memory of a hospitable Hue.
In the coming time, the leader of Thua Thien Hue province hoped that Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism would create favorable condition for Hue city to host more cultural events so that Thua Thien Hue would become one of the centers for culture and tourism across the country and South East Asia; successfully carry out the Resolution No. 54-NQ-TW of the Politburo on developing Thua Thien Hue till 2030, vision to 2045, Vice Permanent Chairman Nguyen Thanh Binh emphasized.
