(TTH Portals) - On September 16, a ceremony was organized at Di Luan Duong - Quoc Tu Giam (Hue Imperial Academy) to honor students excellently won "School honorary student" title The Permanent Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Phan Ngoc Tho; the Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Thua Thien Hue province Nguyen Van Phuong; leaders of relevant departments, students, teachers and students’ parents attended the event.
In last school year, thanks to their diligence and studiousness, local students achieved prizes in excellent student examination, technical and science competition at province and nation level. There were 62 students recognized as national excellent students, especially Nguyen Minh Tai Loc, a 12th grader of Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted who received the certificate of merit of Asia Pacific Physics Olympiad’s organizer. Thua Thien Hue province won 01 second prize, 02 third prizes at national technical and science competition; 01 second prize and 01 third prize at the 5th “Hoc sinh, sinh vien voi y tuong khoi nghiep” (students with start-up ideas) competition held by Ministry of Education and Training; 03 gold medals, 4 sliver medals, 7 bronze medals and the 4th place in national high school student athletics competition. In addition, Thua Thien Hue province become a TV bridge in the final round of the 6th Road to Olympia thanks to a student from Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted.
At the ceremony, the Organizer honored 386 students who achieved excellent results. Of all, there were 214 primary school students, 134 secondary school students and 38 high school students. They were selected from more than 129.000 very good students in 2022-2023 academic year province wide.
It is a special award bestowed to excellent students by Chairman of the People’s Committee to acknowledge studiousness, tradition and efforts made by education staff.
This is the 4th time that this meaningful program has been held by the People’s Committee of Thua Thien Hue province. Accordingly, only one student per school is bestowed the special title.

Chairman recognized that they were the pioneers in learning, emulating and practicing movements at school in 2022-2023 academic year. This initial recognition is expected to encourage students to further practice and study to become obedient children and good students; master knowledge and science.
Chairman emphasized that the province would concern and accompany local education. To reaffirm education's position as top national policy, the provincial leader kindly requested departments, agencies and locals to create every favorable condition for students.
