With a view to introduce local cultural beauty, Phuoc Tich ancient village and destinations, the People’s Committee of Phong Dien district and Hue Citadel Runners will jointly hold the 2nd Phong Dien Half Marathon 2023. It is an activity organized to celebrate the 79th anniversary of Vietnam People’s Army day (22/12/1944 – 22/12/2023) and the 34th anniversary of National Defense day 22/12/1989 – 22/12/2023).
The 2nd Phong Dien Half Marathon 2023 will take place at Phuoc Tich ancient village (Phong Hoa commune, Phong Dien district, Thua Thien Hue province) on December 10, 2023.
The event aims to accelerate “Toan dan ren luyen than the theo guong Bac Ho vi dai” (entire people physically practice, following the great example of Uncle Ho), enhance physical training spirit, accelerate local physical training and sport. Through the event, Phong Dien district and its people are introduced on mass media. It is also an occasion to connect civil officers, students, employees, athletes far and near.
Runners will join in three distances 5km, 10km and 21km. During the race, they will get exciting experience, discover the beauty of Phuoc Tich village, the gentle O Lau river and spread happiness. Phong Dien Half Marathon 2023 is expected to attract people who are in love with Hue, Hue culture, countryside and Hue heritages.
