Constructed by Venerable Bich Phong in the late 17th century, Kim Tien pagoda is located in Binh An hamlet (Truong An ward, Hue city).

The pagoda was renovated under the reign of Lord Nguyen Phuc Khoat (1739-1765). Later, in the 19th and 20th century, Venerable Dao Thanh, Nhat Tri, Hai Tu, Tam Khoan, Trung Gia and Hung Dung had the pagoda managed and renovated. Its board name was awarded by emperor Bao Dai in 1939. Inside the pagoda, the worship space is solemnly arranged to worship statues of the Buddha in the past, present and future, Shakyamuni Buddha, Guan Yin, Ksitigarbha and Dharmapala. The pagoda is home to Vong Tien pavilion and Tien well.
