Dieu Duc pagoda is located at 29/6/4 Dien Bien Phu street, Truong An ward, Hue city.

The pagoda was established by venerable Dieu Huong, Dieu Khong, Cong Ton Nu Thi Ban, Ung Ban, Ung Uy and Ton That Tung in 1932. In 1936, the main hall of the pagoda was constructed. Venerable Phuoc Hue of Thap Thap Di da pagoda (the ten tower pagoda in Binh Dinh province) named the pagoda as Dieu Duc.

At the invitation of venerable, venerable Dieu Huong became the founder and the manager of Dieu Duc pagoda, the first Buddhism study school for nuns in Vietnam. Dieu Duc pagoda is a well-known school where most of the abbot in Central pagodas and hundreds of bhikkhunī countrywide studied such as Venerable The Yen, Vien Minh, who taught at Bo De Gia Lam nunnery in 1942. After Venerable Dieu Huong passed away in 1971, Venerable The Yen and Dieu Tri were the following abbots. The pagoda was renovated by venerable Dieu Huong, The Yen, Dieu Tri in 1948, 1971 and 1991.
