From May 22 to May 24, 2024, the lessons learned workshop on aligning NCS with green recovery was organized by United Nation Development Program (UNDP) and the People’s Committee of Thua Thien Hue province. The main purpose of the workshop is to share insights and lessons learned from the pilot countries on integrating NDCs with green recovery initiatives. Another important aim is to identify best practices and challenges in aligning NDCs with sustainable economic recovery efforts. Also, the project explores opportunities for applying the lessons learned in future programming and policy-making, especially in the context of NDC revision 2025; foster South-South collaboration and support networks for ongoing knowledge exchange and mutual learning.

The most noticable feature of the workshop is the general assessment of Hue vision of green city. Efforts made for more gender-responsive and inclusive recovery. Besides, discussions on accelerating the on-going engagement and revision planning were expected to accelerate international cooperation.
