On March 21, 2023, the Permanent Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee of Thua Thien Hue province Phan Ngoc Tho had a meeting with Mr. Michel Delpech, the Vice Chairman of Aide à l'enfance du Vietnam (AEVN). The leader representative of Foreign Affairs Department attended the meeting.

Thanks to the support of AEVN, SOS Hue village has become a happy home for orphans and children from disadvantaged background. The Permanent Deputy Secretary believed that AEVN would continue to help SOS children’s village improve its institutions, take Thuy Xuan SOS children’s village as an example for infrastructure and living standard in not only Vietnam, but also international scope. The leader of Thua Thien Hue province made commitment to stand by AEVN and call for the support from other resources.

Mr. Michel Delpech expressed his pleasure to be warmly welcomed by the provincial leader, affirmed that AEVN would make further effort to accompany Hue SOS children.

As informed by Mr. Michel Delpech, AEVN was founded by professor Tran Thanh Van and Le Kim Ngoc in 1970. In 1972, AEVN officially became a member of the SOS Children's Villages International Vietnam. Since its establishment, AEVN has carried out several charitable activities, supported Da Lat city’s SOS children’s village, Thuy Xuan Orphanage (Hue) and made contribution to developing SOS children’s village in Dong Hoi city (Quang Binh province). AEVN has also contributed to nurturing and providing vocational training for thousands of orphans and children from disadvantaged background in Vietnam.
