(TTH Portals) - The member of the Central Executive Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Council, Head of the National Assembly delegation of Thua Thien Hue province Le Truong Luu had a courtesy meeting with Ms. Oh Youngju, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Vietnam. The Standing Member of the provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh also attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Secretary Le Truong Luu extended his pleasure to welcome Ms. Oh Youngju, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea in Vietnam and the delegation to Thua Thien Hue province.
On the basis of the fine relation between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (ROK), Thua Thien Hue has implemented several projects and achieved good outcomes.
In the province, there are 17 projects invested by South Korea with the total registered capital of USD 61,6 million. They mainly focus on services, garment, industrial park infrastructure and information technology. Thua Thien Hue has 06 ODA projects completed with the total funding of USD 55 million, for example Thua Thien Hue General Hospital, the modification of Hue city’s master plan in 2011-2015, the detail planning of Huong river bank and pilot project”, etc. Currently, the province is receiving non-refundable ODA project sponsored by ROK government via KOICA such as “Korea-Vietnam peace village” project, “Du an Xay dung thanh pho Hue van hoa va du lich thong minh” (develop Hue into a cultural and smart tourism city) project, etc. Several cultural exchange and tourism promotion activities are regularly held between partners from South Korea and Thua Thien Hue province.

Secretary Le Truong Luu hoped that South Korean enterprises would seek for investment opportunities, establish direct flights from South Korea to Hue city, promote cultural exchange, tourism and education, accelerate the progress of ODA projects, etc.
Ms. Oh Youngju, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Korea to Vietnam was happy to visit Thua Thien Hue province. Speaking at the meeting, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Korea to Vietnam extended sincere thank to the Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and leaders of Thua Thien Hue province for the warm welcome. Ambassador Oh Youngju hoped that Thua Thien Hue would create favorable condition for South Korean enterprises to eye further cooperation opportunities.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Korea to Vietnam believed that the province would make further breakthroughs by making use of local potentials and strengths. Ms. Oh Youngju hoped that this visit would contribute to strengthen the cooperative relation between the two countries in general as well as South Korea and Thua Thien Hue province in particular.
