Chairman of the People’s Committee of Thua Thien Hue province Phan Quy Phuong presents gifts to Ta Vang Public Security Station on new year occasion
On Bunpimay occasion 2024, the traditional Tet holiday of Lao People’s Democratic Republic, a delegation from Thua Thien Hue Border Protection Steering Committee led by Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Phuong, head of the Steering Committee paid a visit on April 12 and extended best wishes to armed forces and people living in Vietnam - Laos border area (Sekong and Salavan province) on Bunpimay occasion.

At Co Tai and Ta Vang Public Security Station, Border Protection Company 531, 511, 514 of Sekong and Salavan province (Laos), Chairman extended best wishes to officers, armed forces of Sekong and Salavan province on new year occasion.

The previous year marked important milestones in Vietnam - Laos relation in general and that between Thua Thien Hue, Sekong and Salavan province (Laos) in particular. In the past time, units collaborated in practical activities as well as accelerated traditional friendly relation, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation in various fields.

Chairman Nguyen Van Phuong affirmed that armed forces in Sekong and Salavan province (Laos) and Thua Thien Hue border guard forces had made positive contribution to these achievements. Their effective collaboration contributed to managing, protecting border, safety; developing a peaceful, friendly, cooperative and sustainable border area.

On Bunpimay 2024 occasion, the leader of Thua Thien Hue province congratulated and highly appreciated the special friendly relation between the Party Committee, governments and people of the two provinces. Chairman Nguyen Van Phuong believed that the bilateral relation would be maintained, inherited and further developed, making positive contribution to developing and protecting the two countries.

On behalf of Lao armed forces, major Ounkham Kientisack, the Commander of  531 border protection company, Se Kong province’s Military Headquarters expressed his sincere thanks to the border protection steering committee of Thua Thien Hue province and provincial Border Guard Headquarters. The leader of Se Kong province’s Military Headquarters affirmed that he would cooperate with Thua Thien Hue’s border guard stations to manage and protect the shared border area, develop a peaceful, friendly, cooperative and developed border area.

On this occasion, leaders of Thua Thien Hue province visited, congratulated and presented 130 gifts to people living in Ka Lo hamlet, Ka Lum district, Sekong province, Laos. Thua Thien Hue Border Guard Commander presented gifts to Ka Lo residents and Thao A Diec who was supported in “Nang buoc dem den truong” program (Photo below).
