(TTH Portals) - The result of Department and District Competitiveness Index (DDCI) survey was announced on January 4, 2022. Industry and Trade Department leads the department, agencies while the People’s Committee of Huong Tra town leads the district-level People’s Committee.
It was learned from the 2022 survey that all eight component indices increased. The result of twenty-seven units increased while that of other 5 units decreased. Among departments and agencies, the top three leading units were Trade and Commerce Department, the Management Board of Industrial and Economic Zone, Department of Justice, Planning and Investment Department. For district-level, the People’s Committee of Huong Tra town, the People’s Committee of Hue city and the People’s Committee of Quang Dien district led the ranking.
In 2022, DDCI focused on assessing 34 units including 18 State agencies including the office of the provincial People’s Committee, Investment and Planning Department, Finance Department, Justice Department, Culture and Sport Department, Labor, Invalid and Social Affairs Department, Trade and Commerce Department, Health Department, Education and Training Department, Transportation Department; Agriculture and Rural Development Department, Science and Technology Department, Information and Communication Department, Foreign Affairs Department, the Management Board of Economic and Industrial Zones. The People’s Committee of nine districts, towns and Hue city joined the survey. There were 6 centrally-managed units including Fire and Rescue Police Department, Tax Department, Social Insurance, State Treasury and Market Management Administration Office. Phu Bai International Airport was the only infrastructure supply unit participated in the survey.
This year, the survey is carried out across the province by the Institute of Development Studies. After 4 years, these indices were improved. The survey was standardized. Units joining in the survey have also changed in accordance with enterprise’s demand.
