(TTH Portals) - On November 13, the reviews and awards ceremony of Thua Thien Hue Start-up Challenge 2024 was organized by Science and Technology Department of Thua Thien Hue province. Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Phuong; the standing member of the provincial Party Committee, Vice Permanent Chairman Nguyen Thanh Binh; Chairman of Vietnam Fatherland Front of Thua Thien Hue province Nguyen Thi Ai Van; leader of departments, agencies and the representatives of 15 start-up projects/ideas attended the event.
In 2024, the Organizer received 92 entries, the largest number so far. These projects relate to a wide variety of fields such as agriculture, herbal medicine, tourism, information technology and so on.
Thirty-eight potential ideas/projects were selected from 92 entries. On semi-final round, 15 ideas/projects were chosen to enter the final round. This year, the first prize went to Hue yellow apricot flower tea project of Tran Thi Thanh Nhi and Truong Minh Hieu.
The second prize was given to Mento.vn – a multi-channel sales management software and A Day Net Zero tour in Hue
Two second prizes, 3 third prizes and 3 consolation prizes were awarded to other excellent projects. Besides, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Thua Thien Hue province also presented 04 gifts to ideas which well exploit local resources and have positive influence on the community. The funding was from Thua Thien Hue Investment and Development Fund. Within the framework of the challenge, the organizer awarded two prizes called start-up student and start-up women to acknowledge and widely spread start-up spirit.
Thua Thien Hue Start-up Challenge is an important step to spread start-up in the community, exploit intellectual resources and creativity in the province in particular and the entire country in general. On this basis, it makes contribution to national socio-economic development.
