Thu Le is one of the few villages founded before Lord Nguyen Hoang ruled Thuan Hoa. After the village was established, eight village founders decided to build a hall right at the heart of the village. The hall is located in the area of about 1.000m2. Entering the hall, there are 4 large columns on which couplets written in Chinese are carved. About 5m from these columns locate the crescent lake, then "buc binh phong" (guarding screen). This yin-yang roofed construction consists of 5 compartments, 2 wings and 48 wooden pillars. The hall is divided into two parts. While the back part is dedicated to place altars, horizontal lacquered boards and couplets are hung in the front one. There are two houses constructed on the left and the right of the village hall.
Currently, Thu Le village hall houses a stone chime, a stone slab, 57 documents in which Emperor's bestowed titles, an over 400-page document about land, 16 couplets, 3 horizontal lacquered boards and a couple of wooden crane sculpture.
Traditional ruong house, the symbol of people living in Tam Giang lagoon is the special point of Thu Le village hall. Every year, there are two main festivals held in the village hall i.e spring offering ceremony (the first lunar month) and autumn offering ceremony (the seventh lunar month).
Thu Le village hall was recognized as a national relic on decision No. 61/1999-QD /BVHTT dated September 13th, 1999 of the Ministry of Culture and Information (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism today).
