(TTH Portals) - On the awards ceremony of Outstanding Tech Organization Award (ASOCIO DX Award) held by Asia-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization on November 7, 2024, Thua Thien Hue received ASOCIO DX Award 2024.
ASOCIO DX Award is a prestigious information technology prize in the region annually organized by ASOCIO to honor individuals, organizations and businesses having excellent achievements in information technology application and development. The award was given to 24 ASOCIO member economies. Only members have the right to nominate.
This year, ASOCIO DX Awards were given to 10 categories i.e. excellent technology business, smart city, digital government, digital education, digital health care, cyber security, ESG (environment, society and governance), ecosystem and digital solutions, women in tech and partnership.
Nine Vietnamese representatives were excellently honored at ASOCIO DX Award ceremony. Thua Thien Hue was given ASOCIO Smart City Award which recognized efforts made in developing smart city and accelerating digital transformation.

In the past time, Thua Thien Hue has promoted e-government, smart city and digital transformation. Impressive results have been shown in national rankings. Efforts made bring the province prizes such as Telecom Asia Award 2019 with “Du an thanh pho thong minh sang tao nhat” (most innovative smart city project). Hue-S platform and local digital services have won Sao Khue award 5 years in a row. Particularly, Thua Thien Hue received ASOCIO award in digital government category in 2022. In the same year, the province placed 4 out of 63 localities in digital transformation 2022 and was ranked first internationally in Provincial Governance and Public Administration Performance Index (PAPI) 2023.
Hue-S platform is considered as an iconic success in developing e-government and digital transformation. Considerable achievements were observed. As all local smart city services are integrated, the platform allows the government to effectively connect with locals and businesses. So far, Hue-S has recorded over 1 million downloads and over 900.000 accounts. Of all, there are 800.000 accounts owned by locals.
In addition to short-term objectives, the 54-NQ/TW Resolution 2019 of the Politburo on developing Thua Thien Hue to 2030, vision to 2045 aims to turn Thua Thien Hue into a major center in South East Asia in terms of culture, tourism and intensive healthcare; one of the major centers country wide for science, technology, multidisciplinary education high-quality education and training. Besides, the province is expected to have stable defense and security; strong Party Committee, government and political system; improved material and mental life. Turning to vision, Thua Thien Hue is planned to become a center for culture, education, tourism and intensive healthcare in the Asia.
