Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024 themed “Cultural heritage with integration and development” which took place from June 7 to June 12, 2024 attracted nearly 30 art troupes from the Republic of France, the Kingdom of Belgium, Spain, Canada, Japan, China, South Korea and Vietnam.
Art programs showing cultural identities of countries were held in Hue, the home of 8 heritages recognized by UNESCO. Hue, the festival city of Vietnam is still a green, environmentally friendly and sustainably developed city.
More than 565 domestic and foreign artists showed the distinctiveness, elegance and diversity of arts. They devoted to culture-rich performances, expressed the expectation of a peaceful, friendly and cooperative world.

Side-line activities also attracted a large number of tourists, for example “Phan chieu” (reflet) contemporary dance program of Xuan Le - Institut français, “Pho tranh Festival 2024” (Festival 2024 painting street) exhibition, “My thuat va Di san III” (fine arts and heritages III) exhibition, “Van hoa Phat giao - Festival Hue 2024” (Buddhist culture - Hue Festival 2024) exhibition, “Huong toi The van hoi Paris 2024” (heading to Paris Olympics 2024) photo exhibition, “Cho dem cau ngoi Thanh Toan” (Thanh Toan tile-roofed bridge night market) program (from June 7 to June 12, 2024), etc.
According to Tourism Department, the total number of tourist to Thua Thien Hue from June 7 to June 12, 2024 was 101.000. The revenue earned was VND 159 billion. Among 49.000 tourists accommodating in the province, there were 9.310 foreign visitors and 39.690 domestic visitors. On average, the hotel capacity reached 70%.

According to the organizing board, this was the first time that main festivities have been organized in Hue Forbidden City and brought locals and tourists a brand-new experience. Regardless of unfavorable weather conditions, events were held as planned thanks to efforts made by the Organizer and the supports of locals and visitors.
Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024 is one of the important events that accelerated culture and art conservation, developed services - tourism, promoted socio-economic development, made commitment to local development, contributed to successfully implementing Resolution 54-NQ/TW of the Politburo on developing Thua Thien Hue into a centrally managed city, a festival city, a center for culture, education, tourism and health in the Asia on the basis of traditional culture, local proactivity and creativity.
