The member of Central Lao People's Revolutionary Party, the Secretary cum Governor of Sekong province (Laos) - Lek - lay SI -VI -LAY, the member of Central Party Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly delegation of Thua Thien Hue province Le Truong Luu; Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Phan Ngoc Tho; the Standing member of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Thua Thien Hue province Nguyen Nam Tien; the Standing member of the provincial Party Committee, Vice Permanent Chairman of the People’s Committee of Thua Thien Hue province Nguyen Thanh Binh attended the meeting.

At the meeting, the Secretary cum Governor of Sekong province (Laos) - Lek - lay SI -VI -LAY awarded the First Class Labor Medal of the President of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Laos) to Thua Thien Hue province; the Second Class Freedom Medal to the Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Phan Ngoc Tho; the Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Phuong; the Standing member of the provincial Party Committee, Vice Permanent Chairman of the People’s Committee of Thua Thien Hue province Nguyen Thanh Binh; Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Thua Thien Hue province Hoang Hai Minh for important contributions made to strengthen the comprehensive cooperation and development in various fields between Thua Thien Hue and Sekong province (Laos).

The Secretary cum Governor of Sekong province (Laos) - Lek - lay SI -VI -LAY showed his pleasure to represent Lao People’s Democratic Republic to present the precious medal to the Party Committee, authority and people of Thua Thien Hue province.

On behalf of the Party Committee, authority and people of Sekong province, I would like to express sincere thanks to the Party Committee, State and Vietnamese in general, the Party Committee, authority and people of Thua Thien Hue province in particular for having provided precious support to save,  protect and develop the country and province.

The leader of Sekong province hoped that the bilateral traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation will be further developed. Also, Laos - Vietnam friendship would be everlasting and sustainable.

Secretary Le Truong Luu affirmed that the Party Committee, authority and people of Thua Thien Hue province have always been aware of the importance of accelerating cooperation with Lao localities, including Sekong province in protecting the two countries in general and developing the two provinces in particular.

It was a pleasure to observe new progresses made and practical benefits earned by citizens in bilateral relation.

The two sides signed and comprehensively carried out high-level cooperation agreement in national defense, security, building a peaceful, friendly, cooperative and comprehensively developed border area, education, training, culture, healthcare; promote diplomatic exchange, generations, cultural exchange, etc.

It was Thua Thien Hue province’s pleasure to observe transformations made in Laos in general and Sekong province in particular, contributing to effectively implementing the Resolution of the 9th Congress of Lao People's Revolutionary Party and the Resolution of the 9th Congress of the Party Committee of Sekong province.

Leaders and people of Thua Thien Hue province determined to inherit and further strengthen the special solidarity, friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two provinces in the coming time.
