At the meeting, the Secretary cum Governor of Sekong province (Laos) - Lek - lay SI -VI -LAY extended his pleasure to observe results achieved in bilateral special cooperative and friendly relation. The leader of Sekong province (Laos) hoped that bilateral relation would comprehensively develop, cooperate and strengthen the special solidarity. The Secretary cum Governor of Sekong province (Laos) - Lek - lay SI -VI -LAY kindly requested leaders of Thua Thien Hue province to support Sekong province, allow citizens living in border area, accelerate goods and commerce exchange and create favorable condition for transporting coal via Chan May sea port.

Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Le Truong Luu expressed his pleasure to welcome the delegation to the province. “The Party Committee, authority and people of Thua Thien Hue province have always been aware of the importance of accelerating cooperation with Lao localitity, including Sekong province in the protection of the two countries in general and the development of the two provinces in particular”, said Secretary Le Truong Luu.

Regards to requests made by Se Kong province, Secretary Le Truong Luu kindly informed that measures were adopted to ensure safety and prevent accidents during coal transportation. Currently, Thua Thien Hue is expanding the road from A Luoi district to Hue city. Cam Lo road will also be reassessed to create favorable condition for coal transport as soon as it has already been upgraded. As Chan May is a tourism port, the amount of coal must be under controlled. The province is planning to establish a new port at Dien Loc commune, Phong Dien district where coal will be transported. The final aim is to create favorable condition to develop in all fields.
