On this occasion, visitors and locals had a chance to enjoy spectacular art performances which raise traditional cultural values of the land and people of Phong Dien district in particular and Hue ancient capital in general. It was also an effort made to turn Phong Dien district into a town. Organized from August 24 to August 25, 2024, “Huong Xua lang co” festive day introduces traditional craft products, agricultural products, specialties, OCOP products such as Phuoc Tich pottery, My Xuyen carving, Pho Trach rush weaving, Van Trinh net knitting, Phong My bamboo shoot pickle, Thanh Tan conical hat, artworks featuring Phong Dien district and its people. folk games, contests (traditional dish making, fruit tray decorating, rice cooking and plant fence-growing); experience local traditional dishes sold at “Huong xua lang co” market. Visitors also have a chance to discover ancient wooden panel houses, cultural relics and historical relics; have boat and cycle tour to traditional craft villages; have SUP rowing on the O Lau river; go sightseeing and “check-in” on Ha Tri lake, etc. Particularly, the 2nd Half Marathon Phong Dien will also take place on this occasion.
“Huong xua lang co” festive day 2024 aims to recreate a cultural space with community activities, honor cultural and historical values, introduce spectacular values of Phong Dien district and its people, attract locals and visitors and gradually turn Phuoc Tich ancient village into a spectacular tourism destination.
