Location: Phu Quoc city and Rach Gia city, Kien Giang province
The festival is divided intro two parts. They are rites and festivities.
Rites including incence litting ceremony at the stele marking the place where the national hero Nguyen Trung Truc was shot by French colonism in 1868, insence litting ceremony of delegates representing for countrymen, soldiers and the Party Committee, the incense offering ceremony at Nguyen Trung Truc park, opening art program, traditional ceremonies yearly held at Nguyen Trung Truc temple are organized in a traditional and solemn way.
Festivities take place before, during and after the festival from August 17 to October 4, 2024. Key activities to be named are “Don ca tai tu” stage, province-level Vovinam Championship, Kien Giang Wanderlust Marathon 2024, the 29th Third Region Fine Arts Exhibition (Cuu Long River Delta Region), OCOP product forum in Cuu Long river delta, “Kien Giang – Dat nuoc – Con nguoi” (Kien Giang – land – people) photo exhibition, introducing tourism products and brands.
In addition, the People’s Committee of Rach Gia city organized fair, lion dance, flower car parade, bird singing contest, lantern night, etc.
