“Co vat hoi tu” display at Kien Trung hall

(TTH Portals) - On June 22, 2024, “Co vat hoi tu” display was co-held at Kien Trung hall by Hue Monuments Conservation Center, Ho Chi Minh city Antique Association and collectors. The Standing member of the provincial Party Committee, the Secretary of the Party Committee of Hue city Phan Thien Dinh attended the event.

At the display, there were 147 artifacts made from enameled bronze, ceramics, precious metals and woods of 29 collectors. These artifacts were made under Nguyen dynasty and widely used in both royal context and daily life.

Most of the items on display are royal tools such as tea pots, precious ceramics and items of various shapes and functions.

Particularly, the display brought special collections, for example “Do su ky kieu” collection of collector Le Thanh Nghia, enameled bronze collection of collector Do Nhu Anh, stone chime of Than Viet Hung, “Mai hac” plate of Mai Ba Thien; ink stone, pen holder, enameled bronze box, silver pot, wooden tray and bronze seal of Nguyen Trung Thanh.

At the opening ceremony, organizations and individuals presented artifacts to Hue Royal Antiquities Museum, playing a meaningful role in conserving national cultural heritages.

The display will take place at Kien Trung hall from June 22 to July 21, 2024. This is the first display which attracted collectors across the country. It is also an occasion for museums, collectors and researchers to exchange and share lessons learned in collecting, conserving and maintaining precious artifacts. The public also have a chance to be introduced to items carefully collected by collectors.
