At the meeting, Ms. Dong Bich Du extended sincere thank to Thua Thien Hue province for the warm welcome and showed her deep empathy with Northern localities for losses resulted from Yagi typhoon. In the past time, the bilateral relation has been maintained and developed. The Consul General of the People's Republic of China to Da Nang city Ms. Dong Bich Du congratulated socio-economic achievements that the province gained while making efforts to become a centrally managed city.

The Consul General of the People's Republic of China to Da Nang city hoped that this visit would strengthen the cooperative relation between the Consul General of the People's Republic of China to Da Nang city and Thua Thien Hue province as well as that between China and Vietnam. Ms. Dong Bich Du affirmed that she would accompany and accelerate cooperation program between Thua Thien Hue and Chinese investors/businesses; make contribution to tighten the friendly cooperative relation between the Parties, governments and people of the two provinces.

Having extended her gratefulness to Thua Thien Hue province for having supported the Consulate General of China in Da Nang city in the past time, the Consul General hope that the two sides would together carry out practical activities to introduce culture, contribute to tightening cooperative relation between China and Vietnam in general as well as that among localities.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Permanent Chairman Nguyen Thanh Binh expressed his pleasure to receive the Consul General. As informed by Vice Permanent Chairman Nguyen Thanh Binh, Thua Thien Hue has maintained friendly cooperative relation with Chinese localities, sent delegations to China to promote bilateral tie.

Vice Permanent Chairman Nguyen Thanh Binh expected the Consul General to support and further promote the cooperation relation between Vietnam and China in general as well as that between Thua Thien Hue and Chinese localities in particular in the coming time; actualize cooperative activities within the framework of the memorandum of standing signed between Thua Thien Hue and Zhejiang province; promote and connect cooperative activities of Hue city, Hue university and Chinese partners.

Vice Permanent Chairman Nguyen Thanh Binh hoped that the two sides would further promote international communication, introduce local potentials and strengths, exchange in terms of culture, education, healthcare and strong fields. Vice Permanent Chairman was looking forward to seeing Vietnam - China relation in general, Thua Thien Hue - Chinese localities relation in particular would be comprehensively developed, contributing to strengthening the traditional friendship and cooperation between the two Parties, governments and people.
