II. Positions and Functions:
- Department of Science and Technology is a specialized agency under supervision of the Provincial People’s Committee (PPC); functioning as the state management agency on science and technology, including scientific and technological activities; scientific and technological potential development; quality measurement standard; intellectual property; radiation and radio-active isotopes application; radiation and nuclear safety; and public services under Department’s management in accordance with Vietnamese law.
- Department of Science and Technology has legal status, its own seal and account. It is under guidance and management on organization and personnel of the PPC as well as specialized guidance of Ministry of Science and Technology.
